Learn. Practice. Connect.

Nurturing skills for meaningful family time.

Glasshouse uses this established Nurturing Parenting curriculum to connect parenting education with supervised visitation. Coaching can address empathy, realistic expectations, nurturing routines, positive discipline and family communication.

Families have opportunities to hear a skill explained, see it modeled, practice it with support and reflect on how it went. Activities are adapted to the child’s development, family goals and service plan.

Nurturing Parenting Programs is the curriculum developer. Glasshouse brings the lessons into its family-centered service approach.

The Glasshouse commitment

Clinical guidance. Nurturing interactions. Meaningful practice.

Since 2014, Glasshouse has brought a family-centered approach to Indiana services. Our executive team’s 30-plus years of experience guide our commitment to respectful relationships, practical coaching and purposeful support.

Understand the needs behind behavior

Therapeutic parenting time brings a clinical lens to parent-child interactions. Support focuses on helping parents recognize emotional cues, understand developmental needs and respond in ways that support a child’s sense of safety.

Coach connection in the moment

Families practice calm communication, co-regulation, empathy, appropriate boundaries and repair after difficult interactions. Guidance is adapted to the child’s needs and the authorized treatment and visitation plan.

Prepare, support and debrief

Preparation and debriefing help parents connect what they learn with what happens during visits. The clinical professional can introduce skill-building activities and discuss patterns that affect the family’s interactions.

Work as part of the family’s team

Coordination with the referring agency and other treating professionals supports consistent goals. Therapeutic services follow applicable professional qualifications, supervision requirements and referral authorizations.
