Learn. Practice. Connect.

Nurturing skills for meaningful family time.

Glasshouse uses this established Nurturing Parenting curriculum to connect parenting education with supervised visitation. Coaching can address empathy, realistic expectations, nurturing routines, positive discipline and family communication.

Families have opportunities to hear a skill explained, see it modeled, practice it with support and reflect on how it went. Activities are adapted to the child’s development, family goals and service plan.

Nurturing Parenting Programs is the curriculum developer. Glasshouse brings the lessons into its family-centered service approach.

The Glasshouse commitment

Parent coaching that turns time together into skills for life.

Since 2014, Glasshouse has brought a family-centered approach to Indiana services. Our executive team’s 30-plus years of experience guide our commitment to respectful relationships, practical coaching and purposeful support.

Prepare with purpose

Before a visit, we help parents choose realistic goals, plan child-friendly activities and think through their child’s developmental and emotional needs. Clear expectations help families enter visits ready to connect.

Practice new parenting skills

During visits, facilitators model and coach nurturing language, attentive listening, praise, age-appropriate expectations and positive redirection. Parents can practice routines such as feeding, diapering, sharing, cleanup and transitions with supportive feedback.

Build meaningful connections

Reading, play, conversation and shared activities give parents and children opportunities to enjoy one another. We help parents notice children’s cues, respond calmly and encourage their interests while maintaining the required supervision.

Reflect and keep growing

After visits, we review strengths, celebrate skills practiced and identify a next step. Visit observations and progress documentation help the referring team understand the family’s work toward authorized goals.
